Erie House celebrated 137 years of community building at the 2007 Annual Future of Promise/Futuro de Promesa Awards Dinner, held on November 8, 2007. Over 400 Erie House supporters, partners and friends joined together at the Renaissance Hotel Chicago to salute and support Erie House's award-winning education programs.

The third annual event highlighted Erie's nationally-accredited After School program, which provides a resource-rich after school environment for more than 200 children through activities such as Judo, theatre and camping. The evening included a thrilling Judo performance by Erie After School students.

NBC 5 News Today anchor and Telemundo Chicago reporter Zoraida Sambolin served as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. "Erie House has been helping children and families for almost 140 years through innovative programs like its After School program," Sambolin said. " Erie strives to nurture the whole child and help families raise healthy, well balanced children. "
