Extra News Features Celena Roldan: "Social Service Agency Names New Executive Director"

Celena Roldán will be replacing Erie Neighborhood House outgoing executive director, Ric Estrada.
Roldán, who became director of Erie’s childcare program in 2006, managed Erie’s Nationally Accredited preschool program and ensured that low-income parents received high quality childcare for their children. She also worked with many elected officials throughout Chicago and the state of Illinois as well as members from the U.S. Congress to ensure that working families are given equal opportunities for child care and career enhancement.
“As Erie’s new executive director, I am strongly committed to Erie’s mission of supporting working families. I look forward to working with partner organizations, elected officials and all who support Erie to find new ways to provide high quality social services to our community,” Roldán said.
In the past year, Roldán has shared her expertise on childcare, citizenship, and other services in the media. She has appeared on NBC 5 Chicago, CLTV, Comcast Newsmakers featured on CNN Headline News, and in a variety of print media, including the Chicago Tribune. To read more, click here.
