Erie Succeeds Yet Again: Reaches $20,000 Goal
24 agosto 2010
In August of 2009, the Circle of Service Foundation awarded Erie Neighborhood House a $20,000 challenge grant for our Technology Promoters program. A challenge grant differs from other grants in that the organization must first raise a certain amount of money, which is then matched. In this instance, for every $1 of donations Erie received from new private donors and current donors specifically in support of Tech Promoters, Circle of Service awarded $1. We are proud to announce that we have reached our goal of raising $20,000 and were also awarded another $20,000 from the Circle of Service Foundation! Thank you Circle of Service and to all those who donated! Read »

On Monday, August 16, 2010 over 150 kids, teen helpers, staff and parents embarked on a week long excursion traveling to Sheridan, Illinois to enjoy the great outdoors. For many of the 5-12 year old children participating, this was their first time outside of the city and away from the constant bustling of cars and block after block of enormous office buildings and two story apartments. Instead of being confined to their backyards or the nearest neighborhood park, they were able to hike for hours in the extensive campground, enjoy arts and crafts, try out their hand at archery, go swimming or even tie dye. "Responsible Budget Coalition Calls For 'Leadership, Not Politics'"-Progress Illinois
19 mayo 2010
Leaders from the Responsible Budget Coalition reminded lawmakers yesterday that citizens are not satisfied with the stop-gap budget proposals that are being discussed in Springfield.
