  • Lead Teacher (3 to 5 classroom)

    Erie Neighborhood House, a community-building agency empowering Chicago’s low-income and immigrant families, and dedicated to promoting a just and inclusive society is seeking a Lead Teacher to work in our NAEYC accredited Childcare Program. Reporting to the Education Coordinator, the Lead Teacher’s basic function is to be responsible for actively leading the classroom team in the education and general development of the children following Erie House, Head Start, Illinois State Board of Education, DFSS, NAEYC and DCFS standards/philosophies.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, the Grant Writer’s basic function is to be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of institutional funders, both private and public, for Erie Neighborhood House (ENH). Responsibilities include prospect research, grant proposals and funding reports, budget preparation, as well as other fundraising duties.

    Erie Neighborhood House, a comprehensive social service agency serving Chicago’s metropolitan area and dedicated to promoting a just and inclusive society, is seeking two School-Age Workers, one for the 1347 W. Erie St. (House) site, and one for the new site at 1701 W. Superior St. (Center), who under the supervision of the School Age Site Director is responsible for implementing program and providing direct service to children in a comprehensive School Age Program.   • Receptionist (Part-time)

    Erie Neighborhood House, a progressive social service agency serving the Chicago metropolitan area and dedicated to promoting a just and inclusive society, is seeking a part-time Receptionist. The Receptionist may work at one of two Erie sites: at 1701 W. Superior or at 1347 W. Erie. Reporting to the Lead Receptionist, the Receptionist’s basic function is to respond to all incoming telephone calls, greet visitors, direct participants and guests appropriately and perform some program data-entry. The Receptionist serves as the initial point of contact of the organization and should be professional, sensitive and courteous in dealing with the organization’s diverse community. The Receptionist must possess a spirit of collaborative support, professionalism, and a strong initiative to work effectively with the Reception team and all other Erie departments.
