Citizenship Classes

Becoming a US citizen can open all sorts of new doors for you and your family. If you are a legal permanent resident and are eligibile to take the next step in your journey toward naturalization, our free 12-week citizenship course can prepare you for the naturalization exam and interview.

Get Started

In our class you will gain knowledge in US history and civics as well as reading and writing skills so vital to passing the naturalization exam. We will also help you develop speaking skills—plus that all-important confidence—you'll need to do well on the interview portion of your exam.

Our qualified instructors have built a curriculum recognized by the Illinois Department of Human Services as a Quality Citizenship Education Program. They will work with you and your classmates to ensure you reach your potential, providing you with the support and encouragement you need to achieve your goals. You'll also have the opportunity to grow alongside others in the community, developing strong friendships and helping one another as you pursue those goals.

Classes are currently offered in both English and Spanish on a quarterly basis.
