The Proyecto Cuídate youth mentoring initiative offers male students at Daniel J. Corkery School a positive, empowering environment where they can learn, grow and build positive relationships. Students meet with their mentor once each week and have the opportunity to connect with other youth in the program for community-building activities and field trips.
Make a positive, long-lasting impact on the life of a student by becoming a volunteer mentor in our youth mentoring program. Mentors work one-on-one with their mentee throughout the academic year and receive guidance and support from program staff.
This program is part of the Mayoral Youth Mentoring Initiative, an effort led by the City of Chicago's Department of Family and Support Services to facilitate the growth of mentoring programs in 22 target areas across the city.
