Capital Campaign

At the heart of Erie Neighborhood House are people and families; it is because of them that the organization has withstood the test of time. The Erie House mission is to promote a just and inclusive society by strengthening low-income, immigrant families. To achieve this, Erie House focuses on six main programmatic areas that meet the holistic needs of the community:

  • Adult Education and Training
  • Children and Youth
  • Community Resources and Empowerment
  • Legal Services
  • Mental Health and Community Wellness
  • Housing

Erie Neighborhood House is deeply committed to the Little Village community and first began programming in the neighborhood in 2004. Currently, Erie House serves hundreds of Little Village families annually in local schools and at their rented location on West 25th Street. Erie House has continued to grow its service capacity in the community despite limited space. The current location is no longer suitable for the programmatic needs of the organization. Space limitations impact the function and capacity of their programs, and limit offerings and dosage.

To address this, Erie House is embarking on an exciting Capital Campaign to build a community hub for families and youth in the Little Village neighborhood. The new, 22,000 SQFT, multi-level center will be located just a few blocks from the current location. The new facility will host:

  • Multiple Classrooms
  • A full court gym
  • A teen lounge
  • A media lab
  • A children’s library & READS Lab
  • Roof Top Garden & other outdoor spaces
  • Counseling & Group Therapy Rooms
  • Commercial and Teaching Kitchen
  • Large Multipurpose Community Space
  • Exterior Courtyard
  • Adequate Office Space for all Erie House programs
