Celebrating the People Who Show Up:

Happy Global Volunteer Month

Every program we run. Every class we teach. Every family we welcome through our doors. It happens because of the people who show up again and again because they believe in what we are building here together.

April is Global Volunteer Month, and Erie Neighborhood House is celebrating all month long. We are honoring the extraordinary individuals whose time, skill, and unwavering belief in our mission make our work possible every single day. From our ESL tutors and youth mentors to our event volunteers and community advocates, we are surrounded by people who give generously and who show up with their whole hearts every single time.

This month, we will be spotlighting volunteers across all of our programs and sharing the stories behind the people who make Erie House what it is. We invite you to follow along, celebrate with us, and if you have not yet gotten involved, consider this your personal invitation to join our growing community of volunteers.

We are also thrilled to introduce someone who is already making our volunteer programs stronger every day: Josh Flinton, our new Engagement Coordinator. In just over one month on the team, Josh has been building meaningful connections with volunteers across Erie House, strengthening the systems that support them, and making sure every person who gives their time here feels genuinely welcomed and set up to make a real and lasting impact.

Having a dedicated Engagement Coordinator means our volunteers are better supported and our community gets the very best that volunteerism has to offer.

Whether you are a longtime Erie House volunteer or just starting to think about getting involved, we would love to connect. Reach out at volunteer@eriehouse.org.

Follow along all month. Celebrate with us. And thank you, always, to every single volunteer who makes Erie House home.
