Over the past 12 years, Steve Friedman has dedicated his time and expertise to the ESL Volunteer Tutor program, where he has proven himself an invaluable member of our Erie House community. His commitment to the program has been unwavering, and his passion for teaching has been evident in every tutoring session. Steve goes above and beyond by creating customized lesson plans for each adult learner, ensuring they receive personalized attention and instruction.

One of Steve’s ESL adult learners recently received recognition from the Secretary of State in the Illinois Literacy Office, underscoring the effectiveness of Steve’s teaching methods. This achievement is a testament to Steve’s exceptional abilities as a tutor and his positive impact on his students. Steve’s dedication to the community and genuine enthusiasm for helping others has not gone unnoticed, and we are immensely grateful for his outstanding contributions.
