A $5 Million Vote of Confidence for Little Village
Erie Neighborhood House is proud to celebrate a transformative milestone: a $5 million investment from the Lohengrin Foundation in our new Little Village community center.
This extraordinary commitment advances our Floreciendo campaign and brings us meaningfully closer to opening a 22,000-square-foot space that was designed by and for the community. Inside, families will find after-school programs, ESL and citizenship classes, behavioral health services, a full-court gymnasium, teen tech spaces, a community kitchen, a rooftop playground and garden, and so much more.

Little Village has long been home to some of Chicago’s most vibrant and determined families. This new center is a direct investment in their futures. More than 200 young people will walk through these doors every single week. Nearly 8,000 individuals will be supported every year. But behind every number is a family with more opportunity, a young person with more room to grow, and a community with a home built on possibility.
The Floreciendo campaign has always been about more than a building. It is about what becomes possible when a community has the space, the resources, and the support it truly deserves. The Lohengrin Foundation’s investment moves us powerfully toward that vision, and we are deeply grateful for their belief in what we are building together in Little Village.
We also want to congratulate Lawndale Christian Development Corporation (LCDC) on this milestone and look forward to future community collaborations that continue to strengthen Little Village and the neighborhoods around it.
The future of Little Village is being built right now, and thanks to the Lohengrin Foundation and the remarkable community that has rallied around this campaign, we have never been closer to making it a reality. Thank you to everyone who has believed in and generously supported Floreciendo from the very beginning. We are getting there, together. Erie House’s Floreciendo campaign
