Erie House Set to Host Future of Promise Awards Dinner on March 14
Erie Neighborhood House will host its annual Future of Promise Awards Dinner on Thursday, March 14, in the Atlantic Ballroom of downtown Chicago’s Radisson Blu Aqua (221 N Columbus Dr).
Proceeds from the 2019 gala event, chaired by HBK Engineering chief executive officer Ronald G. Kaminski, will benefit the agency’s efforts to strengthen individuals and families, build safer communities and increase access to mental health resources through its Proyecto Cuídate program.

“This investment is much needed and will help expand the work of Proyecto Cuídate as we respond to the ever-present demands for mental health resources here in Chicago,” she added.
Erie House will honor three companies on March 14: inQUEST Consulting will receive the Diversity & Inclusion Award (see profile); VistaNational Insurance Group, Inc., will accept the Corporate Impact Award (see profile); and the Community Investment Award will be given to John Burns Construction Company (see profile).

This year, Erie House will also formalize an honor to recognize the strength, resilience and hope exhibited by one of its own community members. Pastora Ramirez and her son, Felix Garcia—residents of Chicago’s Little Village/South Lawndale community who participate in the Proyecto Cuídate program at Erie House—will receive the inaugural Future of Promise Award.
A networking reception will begin at 5:30 pm in the Atlantic Ballroom lobby, followed by dinner and the evening’s program at 6:30 pm. The schedule of events includes remarks from Erie House leadership, awards presentations and a paddle raise auction. A post-event reception will take place in the Radisson Blu Aqua’s Filini Bar and Restaurant.
